Garden Sums

Terms of use

By using Garden Sums you accept these terms. They are short because the site is simple: free calculators, no accounts and nothing to buy.

Who runs the site

Garden Sums (gardensums.co.uk) is run by Fernando Margareto, Yátova (Valencia), Spain. Contact details are in the legal notice.

Using the calculators

The calculators are free to use for your own projects, at home or at work. The results are estimates based on the measurements you enter and on typical figures published by UK manufacturers and suppliers. They are not a quotation, a design or professional advice. Please read the disclaimer before relying on a result, and check quantities with your supplier before you order.

What you may not do

  • Copy the site, its calculators or its text in bulk, or republish them as your own.
  • Scrape or download the site automatically in a way that puts a load on the server.
  • Try to break, overload or get round the site's security, including the contact form.
  • Use the contact form to send spam, advertising or anything unlawful.

Content and ownership

The text, calculators, code, diagrams, logo and photographs on Garden Sums are the work of Fernando Margareto and are protected by copyright. You may link to any page and quote short extracts with a link back. Product and brand names mentioned on the site belong to their owners and are used only to describe the sources of published figures.

Links to other websites

Some pages link to other websites. Garden Sums does not control them and is not responsible for their content or for how they handle your data.

Availability and changes

The site is provided as it is, and it may change, move or be unavailable from time to time. Figures are updated when better sources appear, so a result can change between visits. These terms may also change; the date below shows the last update.

Liability

Garden Sums takes care to keep its figures accurate and its sources up to date, but cannot guarantee that a result is right for your project. As far as the law allows, Fernando Margareto is not liable for losses that come from relying on a result, including materials ordered in the wrong quantity, delays or costs of extra work. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.

Law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you live in the UK or elsewhere, you keep any protection that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be excluded, and you may bring a claim in your own courts where that law allows it.
